My winter break flew by...Christmas....a Missions conference in St. Louis.....10 days in Haiti...I need a vacation to recover from my winter break!! haha

I don't really know what to write about Haiti....I just like letting my photos speak for themselves...I guess that is why God made me a photographer.... I think the neatest thing I experienced in Haiti was when our group got to pass out bibles to the Haitian women's bible study. Many of the women have never owned their own bible because they can't afford them. So, when we passed them out the women clung to their bibles like it was a treasure. Some hugged it close to their hearts, some danced with joy and some even wept with joy! I have two bibles sitting in my room right now. I have never appreciated God's word like that!! I have never danced for joy because I have the spoken word of God in my hands....but I should! Those women clung to their bibles like it was a treasure and that's because it is a treasure!

What I miss most about Haiti is the stars at night. They were so bright and seemed so close! And I miss the weather!! I am a summer girl! I hate the ice and the cold weather we are having right now!!

Today was my last first day of college. It's kind of sad but I'm excited to move on and experience new things and meet new people!!

If God wants you to graduate then you will! :)

So, in our campus ministry we have this saying... " If God wants you to graduate then you will". I like to use this when I want to hang out with friends and they are studying for tests or finals or doing homework. I had a geography test yesterday and I seriously only studied for like 25 minutes. I also happened to have skipped all the classes but 1 since the last test. Most of the test asked questions about different types of rocks and I seriously said in my head "I hope I'm a good guesser because I have no idea!" Well, I got a 94 on the test!!! And then there was a 3 point curve!!! So I got a 97!!! hahahah So, I think this is some pretty solid proof that if God wants you to graduate then you will!! hahah :)

All good things must come to an end!

Today was my last day of my internship. It's bitter sweet. I really loved my time at the Eagle and I'm sad to leave, but at the same time I'm excited to go back to school....to see my friends again and to get back into the swing of things. I feel like I have learned a lot this summer and advanced as a photographer. I feel more confident when i go out and make photos...I'm not nervous about not getting a good shot! I have been truly blessed this summer with my internship and the staff there. I even managed to make a little money too!! So, I thank God for the experience this
summer!

Some photos I have taken the past couple of weeks!

The underground heavy metal music scene in Wichita.

A story we did on the Wichita Airport and how there is no where to wait for family and friends flying in. This woman is waiting for her husband to return from Iraq.

I got to cover the U.S. Senior Open with the paper...which was pretty cool since this is a huge golf tournament!
